Before filling the tabletop with the clear resin playing surface, all of the cracks, gaps and holes needed to be plugged and filled. At this point, the bottom trays were attached using hinges and magnetic clasps.
The last step in this build was pouring the epoxy resin to seal the top and provide a silky smooth playing surface.
This build brought some interesting challenges, but in the end, it provided a huge sense of accomplishment. Before this piece was delivered, I decided I need to build one of these for myself, perhaps with a few small solar cells to charge an internal battery making it truly wireless.
