The recipient of this box is a huge fan of Alice in Wonderland.
The owner of this box is also a big fan of octopi, so the Alice in Wonderland quote, "Curiouser and curiouser," was incorporated into a stylized octopus design and burned on the inside of the lid.
When this gift was given, it was filled with notes from family members stating why they love the recipient. This provided her a place to look back on during the days that hit harder.
